东京不够热

东京不够热

The Three Policies of the School of Medicine

The Mission of the 东京不够热 School of Medicine

Based on the spirit of independence and self-respect and jitsugaku (science), we practice patient-centered medical care and lead the world in medical sciences.

? Notes

【independence and self-respect (Dokuritsu-Jison)】 "To maintain independence of mind and body, and by respecting oneself, to preserve the dignity of humanity is called independence and self-respect." This is the fundamental spirit of 东京不够热, meaning to protect the dignity of oneself and others, and to act based on one's own judgment and responsibility.

【jitsugaku (science) (Jitsugaku)】 The jitsugaku that Fukuzawa refers to is not a discipline that is immediately useful, but rather "science." The scientific attitude of empirically elucidating truths and solving problems is the traditional "spirit of jitsugaku" of the Juku.??

Policy on Curriculum Organization and Implementation (Curriculum Policy)

The Department of Medicine (Doctor of Medicine [M.D.]) systematically organizes a curriculum consisting of "Basic Education Subjects" (Foreign Languages, Humanities and Social Sciences, Basic Sciences (Required/Elective), Basic Medical Education, Clinical Medicine) and "Specialized Education Subjects" (Basic and Social Medicine, Independent Study, Clinical Medicine) with the basic policy of acquiring "Autonomous Learning Ability," "Scientific Thinking Ability," "Medical Professionalism," and "Basic Clinical Ability" in order to cultivate the qualities and abilities listed in the "Policy on Graduation Certification and Degree Conferral (Diploma Policy)."

Under this curriculum organization, education is implemented by combining the following educational methods.

(1)??? Lectures (including active learning and small group discussions)

(2)??? Basic Medical Science Practicum

(3)??? Social Medicine Practicum

(4)??? Independent Study (research activities through placement in laboratories)

(5)??? Clinical Clerkship (东京不够热 Hospital and domestic/overseas medical facilities)

In subjects prior to clinical clerkship, pass/fail is determined in relation to learning outcomes.

Prior to clinical clerkship, a summative evaluation is conducted through the Computer-Based Testing (CBT) and the Pre-Clinical Clerkship Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE).

In clinical clerkship, knowledge, skills, and attitudes are evaluated from multiple perspectives.

A summative evaluation is conducted in the Post-Clinical Clerkship OSCE.

The evaluation of learning outcomes for the qualities and ability goals to be acquired through the curriculum of the Department of Medicine is conducted using direct indicators based on grading criteria defined in each subject, as well as quantitative/qualitative and direct/indirect indicators including various questionnaires and surveys, based on the concept of the assessment plan for the entire Juku.

The relationship between quality/ability goals and educational content is shown in the "Schematic Diagram of Competencies at Graduation and Learning/Evaluation Guide." This is a curriculum map that provides an overview of which academic year and at what level of learning and formative evaluation (feedback) each competency domain is addressed, and at which stage summative evaluation (pass/fail determination) is implemented. It clarifies the subjects that perform summative evaluation (pass/fail determination) for competency domain milestones, subjects that perform summative evaluation (pass/fail determination) for pre-clinical clerkship competency domains through multi-faceted evaluations across multiple subjects, and subjects that perform summative evaluation (pass/fail determination) for competency domains at the time of graduation.
