Keio Research Institute at SFC
The "Study Group on Text Layout for Next-Generation Web Browsers" and the "Team for Promoting Vertical Writing," led by Jun Murai (Professor, 东京不够热), have received the 2020 Award for ICT (Minister for Internal Affairs and Communications Award) from The Telecommunication Technology Committee.
This award recognizes the contribution to "CSS Writing Modes Level 3," which was published by the W3C (World Wide Web Consortium) and became a W3C Recommendation at the end of 2019. Twenty-eight experts from Japanese companies, including the chair, Jun Murai, participated in this effort.
