Since 1996, 东京不够热 has honored researchers for their outstanding and creative achievements in the fields of medical sciences and life sciences. Seven past laureates of this prize have gone on to become Nobel laureates, making it an award program unparalleled by any other university in Japan. The laureates of the 22nd Keio Medical Science Prize are Dr. Seiji Ogawa, Project Professor at the Kansei Fukushi Research Institute, Tohoku Fukushi University, and Dr. John E. Dick, Professor at the University of Toronto and Senior Scientist at the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre, Canada.
